Today is my daughter Carrie's Birthday and I want to wish her a very Happy Birthday! Carebear, we love you very much and the day you came into this world changed your our lives forever and for the better. We had our little girl that we always wanted and our love for you continues to grow every single day. We wish we could be together to celebrate your birthday but I know Philip and your friends will make it a special day! We love you, we are proud of you and we are here for you! Happy Happy Birthday Carebear!
Last night we went to the pier just to see what was going on because we knew there was not going to be a a sunset because of the storm clouds that were in the area but we went anyway and we are glad we did. The waves were absolutely beautiful last night. They were big, around 4 to 5 feet high, and with the emerald tones in the water mixed with the whitewater when the wave would break against a storm cloud sky it was a spectacular show. Last night was also the first night that we were able to see sea life again. Between waves we could see stingrays and fish swimming around. There was a purple flag flying, which means dangerous marine life in the water. It is string ray season right now and the stingrays will swim right up to the shore. To keep stingrays away from you all you have to do is the "string ray shuffle" in the sand; shuffle your feet in the sand and the vibrations will scare the stingray.
We watched the stingrays swim almost hitting the beach where people were standing ankle deep in the water. The stingray shuffle works!
Today is our last day in Panama City Beach. We have been here 5 weeks and have enjoyed it very much. We had a wonderful vacation with our friends, have enjoyed our time with Carrie and Philip and have enjoyed everything that Panama City has to offer. It has been great and we will miss it but we are ready to hit the road early tomorrow morning and begin our Westward Ho! journey.
