Westward Ho!, First Leg Complete

We are in Saulsbury, TN or it might be Middleton, TN, (about 65 miles east of Memphis)  either way we have completed the first leg of the Westward Ho! journey.  I am happy to report that we had an uneventful trip.  We left at 7:00 am and we were a little apprehensive at first, due to the blow out a week ago, but once we passed the area where we had the blow out we both breathed a sigh of relief.   When we left Florida and crossed the Alabama State line we were even more relaxed.  The trip was going well until we reached Montgomery, AL where we hit traffic, due to what appeared to be a terrible accident, that held us up for 45 minutes.  We knew today was going to be a long drive and we were hoping we would not hit any traffic problems.  We stopped for lunch just before we reached Birmingham, AL ate, gassed the truck and we were on the road again.  We crossed the Mississippi State line around 4:00 pm and arrived in Saulsbury/Middleton, TN around 6:15 pm.  It was a long day of driving for Tim.  We checked in, found a campsite, got set up an we are happy to be in Tennessee.  We will be here for a week and we will be visiting several area attractions. Check back and see what we do while we are staying in Tennessee!
