Yes, it was a misc. day for me with a little bit of everything happening. In the morning I worked on organizing my stamping area. I went out to lunch with two friends that I use to work with a few years ago. It was good to catch up. We did so so much catching up that the lunch lasted over three hours but did not seem that long. Time flies when you are having fun!
Tim was just finishing fixing dinner when all of a sudden the power went out. Now there were storms in the area but nothing was going on around us so we weren't sure why we lost power. We ate dinner and watched as other RVer's (not sure if it is a word but I am going to use it anyway) were outside wondering what happened with the power also. Most of the Rvers have generators so they were turning them on. We have one also but Tim had removed to make room for my Mom's stuff that we are hauling out to California. We finished up dinner and then decided since we did not have any air conditioning we would go and get our scooters loaded up in the truck so we could take them to get stored while we are gone.
Before we loaded the scooters I decided to take one last ride so we went for a long ride around the Fleming Island area. It is a great place to ride the scooters especially small ones like ours. Our scooters top out at 40 mph and the speed limits in most of the area is 30- 35 mph so it works out well. We are not taking our scooters with us on our journey in order to make room for all of my Mom's stuff that we are bringing out to California.
Not knowing whether the power was back on or not Tim and I decided to go watch our daughter and son-in-law play pool. They are on separate teams and their teams were playing eachother. Carrie was playing against Philip in her match. They both played well and Carrie ended up winning the match. Philip is such a good husband; a wise one too!
After the match we headed for home and we were very happy to see the power had been restored. Overall, it was a good day that went in several directions!
