Tularosa is a small town. It really is the bedroom community of Alamogordo. There are a couple of gas stations and a couple of small stores. There are a lot of schools. Most of the homes in Tularosa are adobe style and there are trees everywhere. It is greener that Alamogordo. The Historic district is only a couple of stores in some old buildings. The Church that was built in honor of the Battle of Round Mountain is beautiful and is interesting to look at the architecture. The thick walla, the big wooden doors and the windows are all amazing considering how old the church is. I have posted a slide show of the Church. In all, Tularosa is a good drive through town.
We did not have any luck finding the Adobe Bismark and there is very little information on it. The locals did not know about it. I did find some arial shots of the Bismark and it does look like a battleship just crusing around the desert sand. We did pass through a small town of Alamorosa. It is between Alamogordo and Tularosa. All we could see of the town were two signs; the town sign and the population sign. The population 700 but we never saw any evidence of a town. It was a nice day!
