A Relaxing Day in Wauchula

Saturday was a beautiful day.  It was sunny, warm borderline hot, but there was a nice breeze too.  We started the morning with a breakfast made by Bob.  He is a good cook and breakfast was delicious. We then took a walk to check out some of the Saturday morning vendors that put tables up around the RV Resort.  We saw a few interesting things but then stop to play shuffleboard.  Guess what?  It was fun!  Bob and I started to play and then we reeled in Tim and Robin.  We played several games and all I can say is that it was fun but I do not have any talent for the game.  Robin and Bob beat the pants off Tim and I.  I only have pictures on my phone of our games and  I will try to get those and post them at a later date.  We continued to walk when Tim and Bob came across a gentleman who makes canopy extenders.  It is a piece of material you can attach to the end of your canopy that will block the sun and give a little privacy when you are parked very close to your neighbors.  Robin and I continued with the walk and let the guys handle the business.
We did some more hunting of Shark's Teeth and Robin found some really nice ones and pretty big compared to the others we had all found.  We could not find our visitors so we kept a watchful eye out for them...just in case!  We then grilled out for dinner and just relaxed outside for the evening, talking, meeting our neighbors and comparing Thousand Trail stories with them.  I got some good tips for our trip through the badlands and also some reviews on some of the Thousand Trails we will be staying at along the way.  It was a good day, a relaxful evening and a good ending to a wonderful week end.  Thanks Bob and Robin for coming to Wauchula and making our last week end here a nice one.
Today is a travel day and we are heading back to the Jacksonville area.  We are doing something a little different.  Instead of staying at NAS Jacksonville, we are going to stay at Camp Blanding in Starke, FL.  Camp Blanding is a reserve Army base that is located on a beautiful lake.  It has been one of our favorite places to go camping at for years.  We will be there for a week and then we will head over to NAS Jacksonville.  Happy Sunday!
