A Full Day In Indianapolis

We spent all day and most of the evening in the Indianapolis area yesterday.  We started out in Fishers, IN visiting a friend who use to live in Orange Park.  Donna was a good friend and my Choir director at OPUMC for several years.  She was the person who got me started in being a youth counselor at church.  Thanks Donna!  We had a nice visit then Tim and I went to have lunch at Paradise Cafe which is part of the Panera Bread family.  It is set up a bit differently as you walk through the lines to get a sandwich, salad or soup but the food was the same and it was all good.  After lunch Tim and I had a few hours to kill so we decided to go see a movie.  We went and saw "The Guardians Of The Galaxy".  It was good and it is a good movie to take the kids to also.  There was lots of action, good music and it was humorous.  After the movie we were lucky enough to get in Indy traffic and sit on a closed I-69 for about 30 minutes.  Both lanes were blocked due to an overturned vehicle that we did not know about until we got on the highway.  Luckily the vehicle had been removed and our 90 minute ride to go 28 miles turned into a 60 minute ride instead.  We were headed to the south side of Indianapolis to have dinner with my college roommate Dawn.  We actually got there on time even with the traffic delays and we had a great evening together.  We ate at a Mexican restaurant, La Margarita, in their Fountain Square neighborhood then went and had frozen custard at The Cultured Swirl, just down the street.  We had a great time and it was fun to get caught up with each other and talk about our college days together.  Thanks Dawn and Roland, we had a great time.
