Wilmington, OH and Wilmington TT

We are staying at Wilmington a Thousand Trails in Wilmington, OH.  Wilmington is located in Clinton County and is an hour away from three Ohio cities; Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus.  It was founded in 1810 and it's original name was Clinton but that was changed in 1811 to Wilmington and it was incorporated in 1828.  By 1838 it was a growing town and that has not stopped since then. With a population, currently, of 12,800 it has continued to grow through out the years.  It was named one of the top 100 towns to live in 1997 and was featured on 60 Minutes when DHL shut down their operations in Wilmington.  It is home to Wilmington College founded in 1870 by the Society Of Friends when the city and surrounding area included more than a dozen Quaker meeting houses.  Today Wilmington has a beautiful downtown area , has all the big box stores and is an easy commute to three major cities in Ohio.
Wilmington Thousand Trails is a 170 acre presserve surrounding a lake used for fishing and canoeing.  There are a 115 full hook ups, 80 power and water sites, 2 cabins and 2 rental trailers.  It is a quiet resort with all the amenities of Thousand Trails.  It is a popular week end hangout due to the local area.
