Weston Lake Recreational Area

We have made to Columbia, SC and we are staying at the campground at Weston Lake Recreationa Area and RV Park.  It is located on Fort Jackson Training Base in Columbia, SC.  The campground has about 40 sites and has just been updated with concrete pads and full hook ups at every site.  There is four tent sites that also have power.  There are about 10 cabins that can be rented and they range in size from very small to very large.  The recreational area is located on Weston Lake and it is a large and very beautiful private lake.  Weston Lake Recreational Area includes the campgrounds, a large swimming area, hiking and biking trails, watersports from motor boats, canoes, paddle boats and pontoon boats.  It is a really nice campground and I know we will enjoy our stay.  The Little Cabin on Wheels had gotten the other camper's interests.  We have already had a tour of it for a family that was renting a cabin.  A couple with two large dogs came by and said it would be a great dog house.  A mother and her two girls rode their bikes past and the girls yelled at the same time "look Mom a tiny house!"  Today we are planning on visiting a civil war battlefield near the Ehrhart, SC.  Check back tomorrow and see if the weather held out for us.
