The Escaping Winter Journey Stats So Far

We had a great time getting to California and I think spending a week to drive from Florida to California was fun.  We did not have long drives and we were able to stop and see things along the way.  When we traveled in the RV we did this all the time.  It seems when you are traveling in a car you tend to have the mind set of just getting there like our trips to Missouri or Wisconsin.  The drive was 12 hours and we did it all at in one day.  So our journey to California was fun.  We still have lots planned during our stay in California and we have successfully escaped winter.  Here are some stats to share of the journey west to California:
Total Miles, so far: 2850 to California from Florida or 3350 adding in the drive from Tennessee to Florida.
We stayed in 6 Motels along the way, ate at 12 restaurants or fast food places, we visited over 12 tourist attractions with four being a repeat.  Our temperature extremes were the lowest at 28 degrees to the highest being 80 degrees.  We never hit any rain while driving and after we left every stopover the next day winter showed up.  We literally stayed one step ahead of winter.  I would say that it was a very successful trip escaping winter.  Since we have been in California the lowest the temps have been is lower 50s and the highest has been mid 70s.  We have had a lot of rain but California really needs it so no complaints on that.  It has been great so far and we have a lot more things to see and do so stayed tuned!
