Traveling With A Toddler

Rory and I left the show a little early to get back to the dogs and so Rory would not be up so late.  It has been quite a while since I have driven long distance with a toddler by myself.  Having a phone with free data helps but when it dies because the battery went and I did not have the charger kind of ended that distraction.  We did get stuck in Atlanta traffic for about an hour but once we got through Atlanta and the suburbs we were finally able to drive the speed limit.  Rory fell asleep for a while but when she woke up she was hungry and needed our first of four potty breaks during our travels.  What normally is about a 5 1/2 hour drive turned into 7 1/2 hour drive.  The iPads, yes hers and mine, and my phone helped but towards the end of the trip it was just talking.  “ When are we going to get there?”  We got home and the puppies were very happy to see us.  All in all it was not that bad except when I couldn’t get something because I was driving!  Fun times with Rory!
