Playing Hooky

Rory and I played Hooky yesterday.  Rory didn’t go to school and we spent the day together going on some adventures (abbentures as Rory calls them). We started our day making some crafts then headed to Toys “R” Us because I wanted to visit the store with Rory one last time.  Rory had so much fun and didn’t understand that was my store that I ran but we had fun, spent about two hours at the store and walked out with some goodies.  As we left she said she really loved toy stores.  Too bad it is the end for Toys “R” Us.  We thebpn headed to Chick Fil A for lunch and one of the few fast food places with playgrounds.  After lunch we headed to NAS Jax to play at the playground and see the big planes on display.  There was a bonus of lots of puddles to play in too!  After the base we headed over to Dairy Queen for some ice cream and got stuck there for a little while due to a monsoon rain storm.  We then headed home to wait for Mommy and Daddy to get home from their trip.  We had a great day!
