We have been staying at South Jetty Thousand Trails in Florence, OR. It is a 60 acre preserve that is 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean and in the middle of the Oregon Dunes. It has 181 campsites and some even have Cable. The activity center is nice with a nice swimming pool and spa. There is not a lot of outdoor activities like some of the other Thousand Trails but with the dunes and the ocean there is plenty to do. The staff is very friendly here. It is probably one of the friendliest TT that we have been at.
We have enjoyed our time here on the Oregon coast but now we are ready to head inland to the Oregon region of the Cascade Mountains. We are headed for Bend, OR today. We have altered our Westward Ho! journey a little bit. We decided to stay in Groveland, CA for two weeks. We will be about a mile from Yosemite National Park and we decided we want to spend more time in Yosemite so we are going to skip the rest of the Thousand Trails from Groveland to Menifee and go directly to the San Diego area after Yosemite. It basically just gets us to San Diego a week earlier.
Westward Ho!
We have been following your blog for some time. We are Thousand Trails members also and plan on doing a similar trip this coming year. We especially like the TT updates and pictures and the route you travel. We hope to duplicte some of your travel.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time for me. We have really liked the TT's in Washington and Oregon. We are at Bend now and I think campsite wise this is our favorite. Also Pacific City with the view is pretty hard to beat!
