Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails

Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails is located in Menifee, CA just south of Riverside, CA and about 70 miles north of San Diego, CA.  It is located near Diamond Valley Lake.  We stayed here last year when we were here in October.  There is a lot of things that you can do from here since it is just a couple of hours from LA or San Diego, the mountains, Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead.  Just about any direction you go there is something to do.  Wilderness Lakes has over 500 campsites, 18 rental trailers and 10 rental cabins.  It has waterways surrounding many of the campsites and it is stocked with catfish.  Fishing is a very popular thing to do here.  It has all the other amenities that TT offers.  It's location is interesting.  We are just minutes from the interstate and a large shopping area and on one side of the RV resort it borders a neighborhood and the other three sides it borders a large dairy farm.  Yup, you guessed, if the wind is blowing in the "right" direction it could be smelly.  Yesterday just happened to be one of those days.  It stunk so bad Tim and Shadow had to come inside to get out of the stink!  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.  It is a nice RV resort that has one major problem, flies.  They are everywhere with no way to avoid them.   It is a pretty busy RV resort with it being full most of the time.  Today I am heading back to Carlsbad to spend the week end with my sister.  Her Stamp n Stack is this week end and there is a lot of things to get done.
