A Day for Shadow

Yesterday was Shadow's day. With all of the traveling and sightseeing we have been doing Shadow has been a patient and good dog. So we decided yesteday would be "Shadow's Day". After breakfast we took him down to the lake (Medina Lake) to swim. We brought his water toy and for the next hour watched him swim and play in the lake. There was a big field near the lake where we threw him sticks to fetch. He loves the water and loves to run. I think we may have worn him out because when we got back to the RV he crashed.
Today we are headed into Bandera, TX. It is about 15 miles away and is the country seat for Bandera County where Lake Medina is located. The population of Bandera is 1216 with the median income of $31,000 and the median age of 44. It is known as the "Cowboy Capital of the World". Bandera is surrounded by Dude ranches, rodeos, western wear shops and dance halls. I will let you know if Tim becomes a cowboy and I become a cowgirl while we are there because it is said it is easy to do in Bandera. While in Bandera we will be visiting the Frontier Times Museum.
So we're "Rollin' Rollin' Rollin', though the streams are swollen, keep them doggies rollin' Rawhide. Move em out, head em up, Head em up, move em out, move em out, head em up, RAWHIDE!!!".
