El Paso Bound

Today and very early I am headed to El Paso, TX. You might wonder why I am going to El Paso since I just came from there. Nathan has to go to a two week school in Mississippi and has a 6:00am flight. Alamogordo to El Paso is 90 miles. We are up and leaving early to get Nathan to the airport.
El Paso, TX is the 6th largest city in Texas with the population of 649,121. The median income is $32,100 and its median age is 31. El Paso's nickname is "The Sun City" due to it's dry climate with the sun shining 302 days a year. El Paso is the intersection of three states. Texas, New Mexico and Chihuahau (State in Mexico). El Paso sits 3800 ft about sea level with the North Franklin Mountain Range around it. The Rio Grande River serves as a border between El Paso, TX and Cuidel Juarez, Mexico. El Paso is surrounded by the Chihuahua Desert.
There odd some great odd attractions in El Paso but I am not sure whether I will be visiting them today. However, if you are ever in the El Paso area here are some of the things you may want to check out: The grave of wild west killer John Wesley Hardin; Controversial Conquistador Statue; Highest Aerial Tramway in the U.S.; the National Border Patrol Museum; and last and probably the most special Pancho Villa'a trigger finger. Now the finger makes the visit really worth while. From what I have seen it is a petrified finger that looks like a twig in a small shadow box and it is displayed in a drugstore window. WOW, don't miss it!!! Here we go!
