NAS Jacksonville Heritage Park

Anyone passing the NAS Jacksonville Main Gate will see a Blue Angel plane parked out in front. The Blue Angels were actually started at NAS Jax. If you do not have any access to NAS Jax you may not know that right inside the main gate there is Heritage Park. Heritage Park is the home for several static displays of decommissioned aircraft. There are 12 displays in the main park. The park's layout is well done with concrete sidewalks and markers with the name and history of each aircraft.
Tim and I walked around checking out each aircraft and listening to Tim talk about each aircraft's history along with his personal stories was an added benefit to me. Tim had worked on many of the aircraft that is in the park.
I have posted a slideshow of the Heritage park's aircraft. If you get the chance, and can get on base, check out Heritage Park it will be worth it.
