Pool, A New Experience!

Last night I went and watched my daughter and son-in-law play pool. They both play in a pool league but not on the same teams. This was the first time I have ever been in a pool hall. The one I went to last night was huge! I went to Park Ave. Pool and everywhere I looked there were pool tables and they were occupied. I have a new respect for pool players. Some of the shots I saw last night were amazing. Balls I thought would never go in were put into the pockets effortlessly. Now I grew up with a pool table and I thought I knew the game and how to score but I found out last night I know little about pool. I know how to play 8 ball but 9 ball? I understand the game but don't have a clue on scoring and how you win the match. Only one small problem at the pool hall is all the smoke, sorry smokers - no offense intended. It was an interesting night and I am glad I had the opportunity to experience life at a pool hall. I learned one more thing last night, I will not be challenging Carrie or Philip to a game of pool anytime soon. They are both good players and would easily beat me. Why ridicule myself?
