San Antonio bound

Today, Tim and I are going to San Antonio to do the tourist thing. We will be visiting the Alamo, the Buckhorn Saloon & Museum, the Riverwalk and more. San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the U.S. and the 2nd largest in Texas. The population is 2.2 million, 1,327,407 in the city area of San Antonio. The median income is $36,000 and the median age is 32. The city was named for San Antonio de Padua whose Spanish expedition stopped in this area in 1691. Famous for Spanish missions, the Alamo, the Riverwalk, the Tower of Americas and Marriage Island. The Military presence is huge in the area with 5 bases in the area two being Fort Sam Houston and Lackland AFB.
Yesterday, we got familiar with the campground. We went to see Medina Lake and saw what the drought is all about. The lake which before the drought was huge is now small. The house's boatdocks are at least 30 to 40 yards from the water now. The fishing pier and boat docks at the campground are sitting on the ground. I wish I could of seen the lake as it use to be. The campground area is nice, rustic and feels like you are in Dude ranch territory. It is also a preserve so Deer are everywhere. You can get within 5 ft of them without food. With food, they will eat out of your hand. It seems strange to see so much deer with no fear.
So now here we off to San Antone!
