Where is Orange Park?

Where is Orange Park? Unless you live in the area no one really knows. Orange Park is located in Northeast Florida and is a suburb of Jacksonville, FL. Yesterday I shared some information about Orange Park and NAS Jacksonville. Today, I am going to share some information about Jacksonville, FL.

Jacksonville, FL is the largest city, in area, in the continental United States. It also has the largest population (Jacksonville proper)with 1,313,228. Jacksonville was originally inhabited by the Timucua people. In 1564 a French colony was established and became Fort Caroline. In 1822 Jacksonville was formed. Jacksonville was named after Andrew Jackson, the first military govonor of the Florida territory and the seventh President of the United States. This happened a year after the United States acquired the colony of Florida from Spain.

Jacksonville's population (city) is 813,518. Its median income is $46,300 and its median age is 33. Jacksonville is informally known as the "River City" due to the city being centrally located on the banks of the St. Johns River. The St. Johns River is one of the rivers in the United States where the river runs North. Jacksonville is also home to the NFL Football team the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville's tourism is primarily Golf.

I have another action packed day as I will be spending another day at my mother's house getting things ready for shipping. I know, all this excitement two days in a row! Life is meant to be lived so I will live it!
