Pioneer Village

Pioneer Village is an RV resort located in North Fort Myers.  It is a good size RV resort with over 500 RV sites and 200 annual sites with prefab homes.  There is a nice pool and spa, exercise room, rec hall and lots of activities.  It also has huge shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, and bocce ball courts that also have lights for evening play.  This is a very active resort with line dancing, a chorus, meals on week ends and planned outings.  One small problem, we are a little young to participate in several of the activities.  Most require you to be 60+. This week end is Pioneer Days at the resort which will be four days of bands, music, food, vendors and games.  Pioneer Days is an annual event that just happens to fall on the week we are staying here.   We will be busy with all there is to do in the area so we will not be bored this week.  We will be visiting Sanibel and Captiva Islands, the Edison/Ford Winter Estates, Shell Factory, Citrus Grove, Naples, Cape Coral and spending lots of time at Fort Myers Beach.  It is going to be a week of fun in the sun!
