We Are Back In Clermont, FL

We are back in Clermont, FL and the Thousand Trails RV resort.  After staying at several Thousand Trails RV resorts, this is kind of weird to admit, but it feels like we are at home.  There is calming feeling and I guess it is because we pretty much know the rules and routines while staying at these resorts.  They all have their welcome center, activity center, which all look pretty much the same, pool, tennis court and 18 hole miniture golf course and maybe that is part of the homey feeling we get when we pull into one.  Clermont Thousand Trails has also been the one Thousand Trails we have used the most through out the years because it was the closest to Jacksonville.  We tried to use it once a year before we went full time in the RV.
I will include a slideshow of the park sometime soon.
Clermont, FL is a city in Lake County in Florida.  The population is 29,400 with a median income of $39,300 and a median age of 45.  Clermont is primily a residential city with retail, lodging and restaurants as its primary income.  The historic downtown of Clermont still has the looks as it was in the 1960s.  Clermont was founded in 1884 and incorporated in 1916.  It once was full of Orange Groves but in the 2000s Clermont had a growth spurt when the orange groves were converted to subdivisions.
Today will be a quiet day and we will be hanging around the RV resort.  There are a lot of things to do around here now that the snowbirds are back.  When we stayed here last July we basically had the place to ourselves but this time the place it packed and there are a lot of  activities going on.  Tomorrow we will be going to Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.
