Back in Wauchula, FL

We are back in Wauchula, FL at the Peace River Thousand Trails RV Resort.  We really like the resort we just wish there were more to do around the area.  The town does not have much to offer and to do anything you have to travel  but that is not going to stop us from enjoying our stay here. I have a few things I still want to see around the area so we will stay busy  The RV Resort is doing some work on the pool and hot tub so they are closed for the time being  The weather is suppose to be sunny and warm with temperatures in the 80's for the next several days so that pool will be missed.  At least the river is available to cool off in as long as you stay away from the gators!
Wauchula comes from the Indian word "wa-tu-la-ha-kee" meaning 'Call of the Sand Crane'.  It was established in 1907 and was once known as the 'Cucumber Capital of the World'.  Now Citrus is the crop that is grown around here with trucks still running 24 hours a day.  Today is 'RV' cleaning day.  Yes, even when traveling I still have to spend a day every once in a while and do some deep cleaning in the RV.  I might as well get started so I can get it done.  Happy Monday!
