Mulberry Cove Nature Walk

Located near the RV park and across the street from the Golf Course is the Mulberry Cove Nature Walk.  It is a nice walk and it does not take too much time but it does have some spectacular views of the St. John's river and the Mulberry Cove Marina.  Boardwalks have been built over the marsh and mud flats that lead out to the river.  The nature walk may be different every time you do it depending on the tides.  During high tide the water is everywhere but during low tide the mud flats are exposed and you see all kinds of river life in the flats.  It is a nice walk and there are signs with information of the kinds of wild life and plant life that you may see while on the trail.  The day we took the walk it was a hot day but the wind off the river kept it cool.  I have posted a slide show with some of the pictures I took along the way.
Today we are headed down to the Gainesville, FL area to a State Park to visit our friends , Robin and Bob, who are camping at Paynes Prairie State Park. Check back tomorrow for all we did and see.  Hopefully we will see some bison, wild horses and alligators on the hiking trails.
