Smoke ,that was the talk of the day and the look! It was an eerie sight when the smoke started to move in. Shifting winds brought the smoke in a lot earlier than anyone had expected. There are three forest fires burning around the area, no threat to us, and they are all producing a lot of smoke. Around noon yesterday the smoke started moving in and at 5:00 it was snowing ash. The eerie sight was the way the smoke covered up the sun and changed a bright sunny day into a day with a strange orange glow. It was sunny but the light was diminished and distorted with all the smoke. The air quality got worse as the day went on and the smell of smoke was everywhere. Over night the winds have shifted and the smoke should not be as big of a factor today. Today will be a busy day with a funeral to attend, lunch with a good friend and volunteering at Church.
