An Afternoon Date

Yes, an afternoon date.  Tim and I went to Pier Park  and saw the movie 'Dark Shadows".  When I was a kid 'Dark  Shadows' was an afternoon soap on ABC that scared me to death.  I am not one who likes monster or horror movies.  When I was a kid, okay it could happen now too, I would have nightmares after watching monster or horror movies.  I only watched the soap 'Dark Shadows' as a dare.  Now that I think about it my friends dared me a lot because  it scared me to death.  The movie 'Dark Shadows' is a great comedy starring Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins.  If you want just a fun movie to see this summer go see 'Dark Shadows'.  It really was entertaining.  After the movie we walked around, and did a little bit of shopping, at Pier Park.  It was starting to get busy due to the Memorial week end getting an early start.  We then went to Red Robin for dinner.  Red Robin is a gourmet hamburger restaurant.  I love their burgers.  I am not sure if it is their special seasonings, the red relish or their secret sauce.  All I know is if you get all three on a burger it tastes great, it is messy, but it is good.  They also serve bottomless fries but after eating the burger you can barely touch a fry.  We then went to the St Andrews State Park pier to watch the sunset.  It was another great sunset with another wedding and more fishing going on too.  I can now say that I have seen a wedding every night this week at the pier. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.  Today we will be running some errands and getting the RV ready for my daughter and son in law, Carrie and Philip, to come.  They are coming for the week end.  They have never been to Panama City so we are going to do the touristy thing this week end.
