It is Memorial Day week end and I would like to thank all those who serve and have served for keeping this country safe and secure. It is because of your sacrifices that we are able to live with freedom and democracy. I want to personally thank my husband, Tim, who served 20 years in the Navy, my son in law, Nathan, who is currently serving in the Air Force and my other son in law, Philip, who is currently a reserve in the Navy. I am proud to be a military family and all the sacrifices that go with being one. Thank you!
Today my daughter and son in law, Carrie and Philip, are coming to visit for the week end. This will be their first visit to Panama City and we are very excited for them to be here. Now it is time to be a tourist again! I hope they enjoy Panama City as much as we have.
Just a reminder, I am still running the "Name this journey" contest. Please submit all of your suggestions by this Monday, May 28th. I will announce the winner on Wednesday, May 30th. I am looking for a better name than the "North/Midwest/Northwest/South' journey. Remember, the winner gets to choose a souvenir from a destination of their choice.
