Panama City Beach Fun Stuff

We drove around PCB to check out the "odd tourist attractions" and found a lot with so much more to see.  Most of the attractions are a way of advertising a business.  I have added a slide show of some of the fun things we saw.  It seems like a lot of the surf shops like to use large fish as entrances to their business.  At least they are all different.  As far as Gus, the 21,000 lb steer.  We have eaten in the steak house and it is really good.  It smells good outside too due to the wood grills where the meat is cooked.
Below is a re post from a blog post that I did when I was in Panama City last November.
'Panama City Beach is a city in Bay County and is on the Gulf Of Mexico coast. Often called Panama City they are two separate cities with their own municipalities. The motto of Panama City Beach is "The World's Most Beautiful Beaches" and it is true! This is due to its unique sugar white sandy beaches. The population of Panama City Beach is 12,018 with a median income of $41,200 and a median age of 44. It is a typical beach front community with a high rises on the beach and all the fun stuff to do on the beach and along the beach. It is a huge Spring Break town known as the "Spring Break Capital of the World" with over 100,000 + college and high school students who come in March and April. It is sometimes referred to as the "Redneck Riviera" due to the fact that it is a very popular vacation spot for people living in the Southern U.S. I hate saying this (it may bring more people here) but it really is a great vacation area.'
Along with Spring Break, Bike Week is also a huge event for Panama City Beach and the reason I know this is because I am experiencing that right now.  This week is "Bike Week" and motorcycles are everywhere.  Parking lots have been converted to mini malls with tents and tents of motorcycle interests.  We tried to go to Pineapple Willy's yesterday but could not get into the parking lot due to bike tents.  Most of the restaurants and clubs are doing the same so, for the next couple of days, I am going to lay low and let the bikers have their fun.  After all, we are here for a month so I can give a little!  It is still good to be here!
