St Andrews State Park Part Two
St Andrews State Park has so much to do and see that I had to add a second day for it. Yesterday I posted pictures of the beaches, campground, etc. Today I am posting pictures of the boat dock and the historic Turpentine Still. The turpentine still located by the boat launch area of the park is a Still that was operated from 1900 to 1931 and was originally located in Bristol, FL. It was donated to the park in 1964 and was set up as an exhibit in the park in 1967. The Still and all that is involved in making the turpentine is really interesting and you can imagine the process involved when looking at all that was involved. Not something you expect to find in a State Park you come to play in but a nice diversion from the fun in the sun. We went to the pier again last night to see the sunset and we saw another wedding, watched the sea life and enjoyed another great sunset. This is really a great place to vacation.
