St Andrews State Park

St. Andrews State Park is a state park located in Panama City Beach, FL.  The park has over 1200 acres and one and half miles of beaches.  Voted the best park in 1995 it has great white sand beaches and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  The park opened in 1951 and became one of the best places to be in Panama City Beach for getting away from it all.  There are 176 camp sites, boat dock, two fishing piers, Gator lake, three different beaches; the Gulf beach, kiddie pool, and the point on the bay.  There are hiking trails, a shuttle boat to Shell Island, two stores and lots of wildlife ranging from several types of birds to gators, deer and bob cats.  The sunsets are amazing too!  It is a great State park near all the attractions of Panama City Beach.  We have been coming to St Andrews for over seven years now and love our stay.  The park rangers are friendly and helpful and the other campers are very friendly.  It is a great place to come and stay for a day or a week or two.
