A Typical Evening at the Beach
The sunset was beautiful once again and we got to watch the sun go all the way down; no lower cloud interference. We really like going to the pier at St. Andrews State Park to watch the sunset. There is always so much going on. From the pier you get a great place to observe the sunset along with all the other activities that are going on. Kids are still playing in the sand and surf squeezing the last bit of daylight. There is usually a Wedding that goes on during the sunset; we have probably seen a least a dozen since we have been here. We watched a kayaker take bait from a rod on the end of the pier out to sea; probably to catch a shark and watched a paddle boarder enjoy the calm waters of the Gulf. The sunset cruise boats were out and we could hear the Schooner's canon being shot off at sunset. When you look down into the water below you can always see the sea life. Last night we saw schools of fish, jellyfish and some stingrays. As the sun goes down you are joined by several others coming to the pier to watch the sunset. It is an every night occurrence but one I will never tire of; it is just a nice way to end your day!
