A Visit to Kansas City BBQ In San Diego

 On one of the our last days in California Tim, Pam and Brian and I went to the Harbor area of San Diego to tour the USS Midway.  After we were done with our tour we were starving and decided to walk over to Kansas City BBQ,  Kansas City BBQ was the restaurant used as the pilot hangout bar in the movie "Top Gun" and is called the Top Gun Bar.  It was used for filming some scenes from the movie at the bar.  The restaurant shut down while the filming was being done.  Once of the more popular scenes in the movie was filmed at the piano when Goose and Maverick sang the song, "Great Balls Of Fire", while sitting at the piano.  The other popular scene was the final scene where the song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin" is heard playing on the jukebox.  It was fun to see the bar and the items used in the movie but we really went there for the food, it was good!  We all walked away full. Thank you Pam and Brian again for a wonderful day and a really good BBQ lunch!
