Day Three Is Complete

Day 3 started with a breakfast made for us by our host Church and it was great!  After breakfast, packing up and loading everything in the bus and truck the TLCs sang at their prayer group, one song, then we headed out towards Philadelphia.  There were three way we could get there doing the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel, Going Through Washington DC or up through the middle of Virginia past DC.  We chose the Chesapeake Bay tunnel.  It was a great experience for the kids who had never been on it going over the bay then under the bay.  We had lunch on the bus and continued to New Jersey to visit the USS New Jersey battleship.  It was a great tour and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  The USS New Jersey is an Iowa class battleship and the second ship to be named after New Jersey.  The New Jersey earned more battle stars then the other ships in its class and was the only one providing gun fire during the Vietnam Nam War.  It was commissioned during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam Nam War and was part of President Reagan’s 600 ship Navy.  There is a lot more to share but it will have to be another post.  After touring the Battleship we headed for Philadelphia and our destination Hopewell UMC in Downington, PA.  What a beautiful church and so welcoming.  They treated us to a pizza dinner from a local pizzeria which was delicious.  Hopewell UMC has an outdoor amphitheater that we will be performing at tonight.  After setting up we headed to the YMCA for showers!  Yay!  Our third day is complete and it was good.  Thank You Hopewell UMC for being our hosts for two nights.  Next stop Philly; Yo, Adrian!
