It was just an Olympic day for me yesterday but what a day. After Wednesday night's Women's Beach Volleyball USA against USA match (YAY Misty and Kerri) then follow that up with several Track and Field events - what a great night. Yesterday I watched the USA Women win the gold metal for Water Polo. Watch highlights of the USA Women Soccer winning Gold and then watching the USA Women's Volleyball win to advance to the Gold Medal Game along with the USA Women's Basketball winning to advance to the Gold Medal match, what a day. The track and field events were great also. I have enjoyed the Olympics and I love seeing USA doing so well in the Olympics. I also love seeing other countries winning medals and the excitement when they do. The crowd participation has been great. To steal a line from a friend of mine, "you know you have been watching too much of the Olympics when you don't even need to see the TV and you know by the sound of the crowd which sport is on", That is so true especially for me.
So while the Olympics are coming to an end it is time to look forward to get the rest of the Westward Ho! trip going. I have just started looking at what to visit during our travels west. I think Tim and Shadow are ready to roll after patiently sitting in Clinton for two weeks so I could watch the Olympics; Thank you!
