We are staying at Little Diamond Thousand Trails RV Resort in Newport, WA. It is in the northeast corner of Washington on the border of Idaho. It is also about 35 miles north of Spokane, WA. Little Diamond has 360 acres and Little Diamond Lake. There are 306 campsites, activity center, adult center, pool, horse shoes, Driving range, Frisbee golf and more. There are a few things that are different about this TT. First of all it is also a KOA camp. 206 campsites are for TT members and 100 campsites are for KOA. This is the first time that I have been to a TT that is sharing facilities with a major campgrounds that is all over America. Second, this is the first TT that does not have a miniature golf course or shuffle board. It does have a nice Driving Range and a Frisbee golf course instead. I guess we will have to try Frisbee golf.
The facilities here are really nice and the lake is beautiful. Shadow checked it out yesterday and loved it but it was a little chilly. Our campsite overlooks a meadow and is nice view.
Today we are going to Spokane to check it out. We drove through it on our way up to Newport so now we are going to see what Spokane has to offer. Check back tomorrow to see what we did!
