We got on Interstate I-90 in Minnesota and took it all the way to Spokane, Washington where we went north to Newport, WA. I-90 has some beautiful scenery along the way. It started when we passed corn fields and corn fields in Minnesota and South Dakota. In South Dakota we saw fields of sunflowers too. We have passed several rivers and through most of Montana we traveled along a river. Through Wyoming, Montana and Idaho we saw beautiful scenery of Mountains that were breath taking. The camera does not do justice to what the naked eye can see. It is truly an impressive drive. So, all of this travel got me wondering how far was have driven so far. So, I added it up and to this date since we left Jacksonville, FL on May 1st we have driven over 5650 miles. We started in the Northeast corner of Florida and now we are in the Northeast corner of Washington. I would say we have traveled some miles. Along the way, we were fortunate enough to also visit several family and friends and will continue to do so. We have also met fellow Floridians too. We are now in Newport, Washington and when we checked into the Thousand Trails the gentleman was from Daytona, FL. It is a small world.
Today we are headed into downtown Newport and Old Town, Idaho. We are right on the border of Idaho and Newport and Old Town are a linked community. Check back tomorrow and see what we did! Westward HO!
