The Wabash River

The Wabash river is a 503 mile long river in the Midwestern US that flows southwest from  NW Ohio across Indiana to southern Illinios where it forms the IL/IN border before draining into the Ohio river. It is the longest free flowing river east of the Mississippi and runs through 92 Indiana counties.  It is the state river of Indiana and is subject of the State song, "On The Banks of the Wabash, Far Away".  Around Clinton the Wabash is used during there huge Italian festival it holds on Labor Day for the gondolas they put in the river for rides.  Two bridges cross the Wabash in Clinton.  One is the  bridge where IN 163 crosses the river and the other bridge is a train bridge.  I have posted some pictures of the Wabash in Clinton which runs east of downtown Clinton.
