We are three months into our Westward Ho! journey (about a quarter of the way through) and we have traveled over 2,995 miles so far. That is on two sets of tires. We are on our third set now. We had a blow out and replaced all four tires on the RV. Then we had a tire recall and got another set of new tires (the ones that are on the RV now). In our travels so far we have had many successful fishing trips, got a great tan, played some golf, been to battle fields, took a boat ride on the Mississippi river, played a lot in Branson, zip lined, been to raceways and beautiful lakes and the greatest city of all, Chicago. I have seen lots of family, great friends, college roommates and elementary school friends.
All of this in three months and another 8 months and 10,000 + miles to go. So far, I would say that the Western Ho! journey is going well. When we leave Clinton, IN on Monday we will head northwest to Washington state. It will take us 13 days (stopovers along the way) and we will travel 1983 + miles. WOW, Westward Ho!
I have enjoyed watching the Olympics but I am now getting antsy to hit the road and get to the Northwest. We have so much we want to see along the way and I will be entering areas of the U.S. that I have never been yet. Keep checking back and see what we do! Go USA!
