Lake Of The Spirngs Thousand Trails Resort

We are staying at Lake of the Springs TT Resort in Oregon House, CA.  It is located about 60 miles north of Sacramento.  The resort sits at the foothills of the Sierra Mountains.  It is a 950 acre preserve with a 120 acre lake that is great for fishing, swimming and boating.  There are 540 campsites and several Yurts and Cabins to rent.  It has all the amenities most TT's have including a really nice family lodge and country store.  The lodge is located on top of a hill looking over the TT's Marina.  We hiked a couple of the their hiking trails today and they are a bit challenging due to the narrow hiking trail and the ups and downs on the trail.  The marina has boats for rent and the country store also sells bait for fishing.  Since there is not a lot to do in the immediate area the resort offers several different activities.  The weather is beautiful with highs in the upper 70s during the day and lows in the upper 40s at night!  The lake is beautiful and and I can see why it is the highlight of the resort.
The Western Ho!  journey has been edited again.  We were suppose to go to Cloverdale, CA Tuesday but after seeing where it  is located we decided to skip that resort and alter our plans a little bit which will now get us to the San Diego area 4 days earlier now.  I have updated the itinerary located below this blog.
