A Day With Mom

I spent the day with my Mom yesterday.  We had a good time.  I picked her up around 11:30 and we headed to a luxurious lunch at McDonalds where we shared a value meal (we only had about 20 minutes to eat).  We then went to see the movie "Flight" starring Denzel Washington.  I was not sure what to expect from the movie. It is a different movie role for Denzel but he did a good job with his role and the movie was actually very good.  After the movie we headed to my sister's house (she is in Las Vegas this week end) to pick up a stamping box for today.  We then headed to the grocery store and back to the RV.  We are at Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base.
I made a gourmet meal for my Mom, Tuna Potato Chip Casserole.  That is what she had requested.  While dinner was cooking Tim and I shared some stories of our travels and then sat down for dinner.  After dinner we talked some more then I took her home.  It was a nice day and it is good to be with my Mom again.
Today I am substituting for my sister's card class at my Mom's residence.  Pam does a monthly card class with some of the residents and since she is in Vegas playing I am stepping in to run the class.  Let's hope I can do it!
