My Surprise

Yesterday I said I had a surprise for someone somewhere but I could not say who and to check back today for the details. Yesterday I surprised my Mom.  I called her while I was standing in front of her home and told her I was still at Edwards AFB and that I would be there in about a week.  After saying good bye to her on the phone I walked into her place and in the lobby, after signing in, I saw this great big picture of my mom.  It was from a museum exhibit that she was a part of last winter/spring.  It was a very cool thing to see.  I went up to her floor and rang her doorbell and when she came to the door I just said "Hi Mom".  At first she just stood there and then got very excited to see me!  Surprising her made her day and mine.  She just kept saying "I can't believe your here".  So there you go, we drove from Edwards AFB to Oceanside.  It was good to be together again.  We had not seen each other in over a year.  We had a great afternoon, dinner and evening.  Today we are going to spend the day together, maybe seeing a movie, and then I am cooking dinner for her.  It feels good to be with my Mom again!  Love ya Mom!
