Bellows Beach

We spent the day at Bellows beach yesterday.  It is located on Bellows Air Force Base which is on the east coast of Oahu and it is considered one of the best beaches on Oahu.  It has a sandy bottom and beautiful scenery to look at.  We loaded up the car and we headed to Bellows beach (about 3 minutes from the house) and just enjoyed the surf and sand.  The water had at least 5 different shades of blue.  It was choppier than usual but that was due to the trade winds that were blowing from the east.  The waves were 5 to 8 ft and so it made it tough to swim but was great for body surfing and boogie boarding.  The surfers (with surf boards) had to go way out towards the reef to catch some better waves.  It was a nice day and even though we did get some showers (more of a mist) it did not interfere with the fun we were having.  I took about 150 pictures and I am posting a few of my favorite.  It was a good day had by all!
