Honolulu, HI

We spent the day in Honolulu yesterday and it is a good size city.  Honolulu is the state capital of Hawaii and the most populous city in Hawaii and is the southern most major city of the U.S.  In the Hawaiian language Honolulu means sheltered bay or place of shelter.  Honolulu has the 4th largest skyline with New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles ahead of them.  The skyline is a very beautiful one and it was tough to pick which pictures I wanted to post today.  It was a beautiful day with temperatures in the high 70's - low 80's and a nice ocean breeze.  What really surprised me was the temperature difference of when you were in the sun and when you went under a tree; it had to be at least a 10 degree difference.  We had lunch and then did some Christmas shopping for Jenny and Nate.  We got them some cool things and it was things they wanted but really did it need.  We got to experience rush hour traffic too.  Honolulu has the worst traffic of all the U.S. states; which is surprising.  We celebrated Christmas last night with Jenny and Nate and they spoiled me rotten.,  Thanks Jenny, Nate, Ace and Lily, (Ace and Lily are the dogs).  Today we are headed for Pearl Harbor so check back tomorrow and see more pictures.  Aloha!
