Lunch At Hickam
We had lunch at Hickam AFB since we were in Honolulu and Nathan was at work. We ate at the Seaside Grill that is on the water by the Marina at Hickam. The restaurant was beautiful and looked very Hawaiian with its Island accents. The food was primarily seafood and only Nathan likes seafood but that was okay because there were some non seafood choices for Tim, Jenny and I. I had the BLT+C. It was a BLT but with Mozzarella and pesto mayo added to it. It was delicious and I chose the Island chips for my side which was great. It was homemade chips from potato, sweet potato, taro, plantain and egg plant and they were delicious. We did some shopping at the PX on Hickam and then went over to the Navy Exchange at Pearl Harbor. Hawaii is expensive but the Exchange prices are good and most military do a lot of their shopping there. After other shopping on Oahu I understand why the exchanges in the area stay busy. It rained on and off today so we spent most of the afternoon helping Jenny add some curtains on her patio and fixing up a small room for her dogs. Both look great and are both completed. Jenny has an eye for decorating which she gets from both of her grandmothers. So, it was a busy and fun day!
