Kaneohe, Hawaii
Kaneohe is located on the east coast of O'ahu just a few miles north of Waimanalo. It is also home to the Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Kaneohe has a population of 35,000 people and is the largest of several communities on Kaneohe Bay. Kaneohe in the Hawaiian language means Bamboo Man. According to ancient Hawaiian story a woman compared her husband's cruelty to the sharp edge of bamboo. Kaneohe Bay is beautiful and yesterday, even though it was hazy, it was still beautiful As you enter Kaneohe, by the Marine Corp base, you see the bay as big as ever and it was one of those sights that when you see it all you can say is "WOW!". Kaneohe has a large shopping district and a Mall. We spent some time at the mall and had it almost to ourselves. The water at Bellows Beach was breathtaking with so many blues were really pretty. Another good day and I still have one week to enjoy O'ahu
