The last 3 1/2 days have been fun, crazy and action packed. It started Thursday night at Downtown Disney then Hollywood Studios on Friday. Saturday we did EPCOT and Sunday we did some resort hopping and then returned to Downtown Disney.
Yesterday we had breakfast at the Trails Inn at Fort Wilderness then hopped a boat to the Contemporary. This resort opened when Disneyworld opened in 1971. The Contemporary is the resort the Monorail runs right through the middle of it. We then hopped on the Monorail to the Polynesian Resort. It also opened in 1971. Since my first visit to Disneyworld (I was 15) I have always wanted to stay there. Some day I will. It is like being in Hawaii without leaving the mainland. We jumped back on the monorail to the Grand Floridian and then returned to Fort Wilderness by boat and drove to Downtown Disney. Once we were in the Marketplace we took a boat to the Riverside Resort. The boat ride is relaxing and you get to see several other resorts during the ride (Sarasota Springs, Tree Houses and Port Orleans). We then returned to Downtown Disney and did some serious shopping. I just had to buy Carrie and Philip Mickey ears with their name on them. This was Philip's first trip to Disneyworld. We finished our day by having a sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich then headed home.
So, the week end is over everyone has gone back home (except us) and today will be a day for relaxing! Tim and I will be returning to Disneyworld later this week to do one more park! Which one? You will have to wait and see!
