Disneyworld Day 3

We had so much fun yesterday at Epcot. We started the day having an early lunch at Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge. Oh what fun! Your server plays with you during your entire dining experience.

We took the Monorail out to Epcot and the first ride, which is kind of a tradition for us, was Spaceship Earth. It is the ride through the Epcot ball. We then headed over to Soarin' for fast passes. We met up with Bob, Robin and Cheryl outside the Land. It started to rain so we all bought a Mickey Rain Poncho ($7.98 each) because we knew that would stop the rain and eventually it did. It rained for a couple of hours but then quit and the rest of the day was rain free and cooler. While in Future World we visited most of the rides and finished with the best ride in the park, my opinion, Soarin'. Soarin is like hang gliding over the entire state of California.
We then visited the World Showcase. We started in Canada, listeded to a great British Rock Band playing British Rock hits. We walked through France, Morocco, and stopped in Japan to watch the Drums. In U.S.A. we watched the Tribute to the BeeGees at the U.S.A Showcase pavilion. It was good and took me right back to my High School years. We then visited Italy, Germany, China, Norway and Mexico. The firework show is amazing so we grabbed a spot on the lake and enjoyed the show. Epcot was fun!

Today, we are going to spend time at Downtown Disney and do some Resort hopping. Downtown Disney has been renamed three times since it was built. It opened on March 22, 1975 and was named Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village. Pleasure Island (nightclubs) was added to compete with Church Street Station and opened on May 1, 1989 as the Disney Village Marketplace. It was expanded one more time and opened again on September 7, 1989 and became Downtown Disney. If you have not visited Downtown Disney you really should. You can get a Disney experience for free; unless you shop or eat!

Check back tomorrow to find out which resorts I visited and what I bought during my visit at Downtown Disney.
