New Year's Day

One day into the new year and all is well.  It was a relaxing day spent with some great friends and some good food.  The big event of the day, watching NFL Football.  We are only an hour west of Jacksonville and the next big city is Tallahassee about and hour and a half west of us.  Now you would think that we would be watching the Jacksonville Jaguars play the Indianapolis Colts but what do we actually get to see?  The Miami Dolphins play the New York Jets.  Needless to say, we were not "Happy campers" and so we listened to the game over the internet.  We did get to watch the Denver Broncos play the Kansas City Chiefs.  There is now a huge following for the Denver Broncos in the Jacksonville area due to Tim Teebo.  He is a local boy who has mad the big leagues.  We ended the night watching the New York Giants play the Dallas Cowboys.  So yes, in a traditional way, we spent New Year's Day the way it has been spent for years; watching football.  Today are the bowl games which means more football...bring it on!
