A Bipolar Day

It was a bipolar day.  The first half of the day was good.  We went for a walk over to the Marina on Base and took some pictures and enjoyed the atmosphere.  The Mulberry Cove Marina is a nice marina and next store is the NAS Jax Yacht club.  The Marina has a big recreational area with picnic pavilions, volleyball, horse shoe pits and a fishing pier.  There is a  dry dock storage area, a Marina store, boat launch, slips and docks and a large mooring area.  It is all located on the St Johns River and is a nice peaceful area.  The Yacht club was established in 1956 for sailboats and added power boats in the early 1970s.  You can even get sailing lessons at the Marina.  While we were there we ran into friends launching their sailboat.  I have never seen a sailboat launched from a trailer and so we watched then went to see the boat.  They invited us to go sailing but we couldn't because Tim had a Dr. appt in the afternoon.  Sure wish we could of gone, it was a beautiful day.  On our way back to the campsite Tim found a kite laying on the ground and he had to fly it.  He got it up in the area and then tied it off to a horse shoe pit so it would continue to fly.  It started going into a tree so he adjusted the flight of the kite and we continued home.
In the afternoon we went to Tim's appointment and we are now in limbo of our travel plans.  He has to have a heart catherization this afternoon and depending on what is seen we will either still be leaving on Monday or we may be staying in the Jacksonville area a little longer and have to cancel our South Carolina plans.  This brought Tim's spirits really down and the rest of the day was left with a big huge question mark.  His procedure is at 3:30 today so please say a little prayer for the best!  I will give an update tomorrow.  I was going to post our itinerary but will wait until we know what is going to happen.  I have posted a slide show of the marina and Tim flying a kite!
