I will miss watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico while standing on the pier at St. Andrews State Park. I will miss the sunset activities that go on while at the beach. Another wedding, this time with a pretty heart made in the sand for the Bride and Groom to stand in during the ceremony. Lots of photographers and families getting portraits done all wearing white and khaki, kids playing in the surf under the last bit of sunlight, fishing at the end of the pier, the spectators that gather to watch the sunset, the sunset cruise boats passing by and the sunset itself. This is an every night event and even though it is routine there is always something new that will happen. The only thing missing last night was watching the sea life. The waves were huge last night and they were beautiful to watch especially the really big ones but the water was so churned up that you could not see anything playing in the water. It was a bit breezy but it felt good especially after 95 degrees temperatures during the day. It was a nice evening!
Today we will be getting everything ready for our Westward HO! journey. Tim handles all the outside stuff and I do all the inside stuff. We will spend some time finalizing the route we will take, making sure we have our reservation paperwork for the campground and all the other last minute things that need to get done. We have enjoyed our month here in Panama City Beach but we are ready to hit the road and start the Westward HO! journey!
