Back In Clinton, IN

We are back in Clinton, IN and we are here for one reason, to watch the Olympics.  When Tim and I were planning the Westward Ho! trip I had one small request and that was to be in one place during the Olympics.  So, when we figured out where we would be during the times the Olympics would be on we decided to return to Clinton and Horseshoe Lakes Thousand Trails so I could watch the Olympics.  I an an Olympic fan.  I will watch everything in the Olympics; Summer and Winter. This will be the first year since 1984 that I will be able to watch it all too.  That is, not to say, that we will not see things while we are here.  I mean, I have to get out sometime!  So, for the next couple of weeks I will be sharing with you my thoughts of the Olympics and sharing what we visit too.  Maybe I should put up a disclaimer, "The Westward Ho! trip will be placed in hiatus until August 13th".  In a way it has but not all the way.  Please check back and see what we do end up doing this time around in Clinton!
By the way, I was not too impressed with the Opening Ceremonies.  It was good but I guess Beijing spoiled it all for a little while.  I did like the way the Queen entered and the way the flame was brought into the stadium.  I have always been a sucker for the parade of Nations and love to watch all the countries march in especially the countries I have never heard of...I have now!  So, the Olympic games of 2012 have begun; good luck to all the athletes and GO USA!
